Avi Handmade Clothing

I began this little business when my 2nd child Eddie was born.  He was short and fat and nothing fit him.  So, I put my sewing background to use and set out to make him clothes that not only fit, but were stylish and comfortable.
We all know how crazy fast little ones grow.  My entire line is designed with waistbands, wrist & ankle cuffs that expand as your child grows.

Felt

It all started when my Grandma taught me how to knit. Everything went downhill from there - or, I guess it was uphill. I loved it immediately. I was then introduced to high quality 100% wool and all of the awesome things you could do with it. Knit then felt, Wet felting and my personal favourite - needle felting. Since then I have been exploring different forms of needle felting whether it be 3D creatures, needle felted pillows and cards, or pictures to frame. I have also recently started to make jewelry through the art of wet felting.

7th Monkey Designs

Diving into the world of hand weaving for me was not something I'd ever really thought about.  I naturally tend to try my hand at lots of different types of creative expression, once even enrolling to become a silversmith. But truly the process of becoming a self-taught artisan is what brings me into these new creative worlds.
I'm also launching a new line of handmade hand/body soap bars. A
t 7th Monkey Designs you just never know where the rabbit hole of creativity will lead me, but rest assured I’ll be sharing my adventures with you !

Bella's Bazaar

Found objects such as antique mother-of-pearl buttons from the bottom of a forgotten sewing basket remain a constant source of inspiration. Natural materials like porcupine quills, seeds and shells transform under Erin's fingers into ethnic organic pieces.
Erin predominately works with sterling silver wire, beads and semi-precious stones. She describes her work as eclectic and funky, jewellery that feeds the eye and fuels the spirit.

Burnt Timber

Burnt Timber was born in 2015 after relocating from Calgary to the lakes and forests of Muskoka, Ontario. I have experimented with various mediums throughout my life until coming full circle and reacquainting myself with wood burning, picking up a skill my grandfather taught me long ago.

With the shift from urban to rural living came a strong passion for nature connection, simplicity and natural beauty. Deepening my relationship with the land and forest. All designs are inspired by Mother Nature with the intention of bringing nature to you, to keep her close to your heart.

Love Pottery

Tara moved from Toronto in 2007 to pursue her dream of becoming a full-time potter and business owner. She put down roots as Chetolah Pottery Studio in Dorset, ON and has been building, growing and changing ever since. Her pottery studio eventually expanded to a cafe, and after meeting her wife Cait, it grew a yoga studio.
Now, Love Pottery offers handmade ceramics, along with pottery classes for children and adults, locally made soaps, delicious espresso drinks, and textiles brought back from winter travels abroad. It also includes The Open Space yoga studio and hosts LoveFest Dorset each summer. Tara believes that her life, just like her pottery, is a work of art - to be lived whimsically grounded and from the heart.
The latest expansion includes moving out of the small loft over her studio into a newly built home steps away from the shop. This summer she will unveil her larger updated gallery space and new studio space.
